Have you ever sent your Onesheet to a label exec or booking agent and wondered if they actually ever clicked the link? Or to a casting director who you didn’t hear from? Wouldn’t have been nicer to know if they actually visited the Onesheet?

Today, we’re making that a reality with the release of Tracking Codes.

It’s simple. Just go to Tracking Codes in your new Dashboard and create as many as you’d like. Then send the sharable URL with whoever you want and we’ll let you know not only if someone visited your page using that link, but how many times they came back!

If you dont want to deal with copying and sending the link, just enter their email address and we’ll send them a formatted email (below) with a link.

It’s a simple way to track if the important people you’re sending your Onesheet to actually visit.

Say hello to the user Dashboard

To date, the home page a user sees after login has simply linked you to their Onesheets, where all edits and changes are made. The home page itself served little purpose.

A few months ago, we did a slight redesign of the home page. The goal of that exercise was to give our users a aesthetically nicer experience while we made bigger changes behind the scenes.

Today, we’re replacing the user home page with the first phase of the new user Dashboard.

With this release, we are introducing the new Dashboard framework, and we will be adding to it over the next few months. We have moved some of the Onesheet editing features from the website to the Dashboard.

With this release, we are also uncovering three of our highest requested features:

Stats: Keep track of how many people have visited your Onesheet. Read more about this feature here.
Tracking Codes: You can now create links to your Onesheet that are tagged with a unique code. When someone visits your page with one of these links, it will be recorded and you can see who has come and how often they’ve come. Read more about this feature here.
Privacy: If there is sensitive information on a Onesheet you create, you can turn on privacy with one click. The only people who will be able to access it will need either a tracking code or a password. Find password protection in your Onesheet Website Settings.

Page view graphs for your Onesheet

It’s been a long time coming, but we’re starting to roll out more visibility into a Onesheet’s traffic. You’ve been able to add your own Google Analytics code for a long time but starting today we’re providing our own page view graph.

To find the graph, go to your new Dashboard and click “Stats” under you Onesheet’s name. We will also update your activity feed every day with the total users who came to your site the day before.

Note: This is only available to Pro Onesheets.

Navigation bar ordering is here!

We are extremely excited to add customized navigation bar to Onesheets. A common request we get at Onesheet is allowing artists to arrange their navigation bar any way they would like. As of today we are happy to allow this from any pro Onesheet account.

If you already have a Pro Onesheet account, you can arrange your navigation by going to your “Content” tab and clicking “Navigation Order.” This will add a draggable icon to each navigation tab item. All you need to do is arrange them how you would like and once you put them in place, you’re done! They are saved!

Add your 8tracks mix to your Onesheet!

Excited to announce today that we now support 8tracks mixes on Onesheet! Their widget is beautiful and we’re psyched to have it as part of our ever growing list of audio options.

About 8tracks (Source: 8tracks):

“On 8tracks, people can do two things: listen to a mix, or create a mix. Listeners can search for a mix by artist or genre, stream it in a legal, radio-style manner, and follow others who make compelling mixes. DJs upload MP3s or AACs to craft a playlist, add context with description and art, and publish their mix on 8tracks.com and a personal webpage.”

8tracks believes handcrafted music programming trumps algorithms. Think radio in the 1970s, mixtapes in the 1980s, and DJ culture of the 1990s through today. DJs share their talent in taste making, providing exposure for artists. Listeners get a unique blend of word-of-mouth sharing and radio programming — long the trusted means for music discovery — on a global scale.

You can add an 8tracks mix as a widget or add it to the navigation bar. Here’s what it looks like as a widget:

Onesheet wins Best Bootstrapped Music Startup at SXSW

Happy to announce that Onesheet has been awarded Best Bootstrapped Music Startup in the SXSW Accelerator! This comes a day after our enormous Onesheet Mobile launch on Tuesday.

Thanks to our community for getting us this far! We still have a lot to do, but it’s always nice to get a little recognition of a job well done so far. :)

Onesheet Mobile has arrived!

Tens of thousands of entertainment professionals have built beautiful web presences using Onesheet. These gorgeous sites have been visited millions of times. But there’s always been a missing piece: mobile.

While Onesheet looks great on large screens, the mobile experience has been less than ideal. That changes today.

We are rolling out the pilot program for Onesheet Mobile. We’ve redesigned the Onesheet experience when visited from a mobile device to be much smoother and fit for a smaller screen.

Onesheet Mobile automatically generates a beautiful, branded mobile web app. There is no additional work to do, no app to download. Everyone who visits your Onesheet on mobile will see it.

If a fan saves your page to their home screen, it creates a mobile icon with your image, and when they launch the app, their screen is filled with your background image as the app loads. It’s gorgeous.

Of course there are challenges when moving to mobile. Some of the widgets users have integrated won’t work on a mobile device because of their size or they use Flash. Those will be greyed out on the mobile view. We are working with these partners to provide content in a mobile friendly way, and hopefully will be switching these over in the upcoming months.

Also, there are a lot of mobile devices. We want Onesheet Mobile to be rock solid with all of them, but this will take time. However, we are confident that Onesheet Mobile will look better than Onesheet overall, regardless of the device.

Onesheet Mobile is a premium feature offered as part of our premium Pro package. But the Pro price stays the same. Still under $5/month.

However, during our pilot, we have enabled every single Onesheet to be mobile friendly through the month of March! We’re especially excited to do this during SXSW, when many fans will be accessing Onesheets on their phones to find out more about bands they are hearing about.

So go check it out! Visit your Onesheet from a mobile device and send us feedback. Remember, this is just a pilot program. There will be bugs. We have a lot to learn, but can’t wait to keep refining this experience to make it the best it can be!

We just added SoundCloud's Email Unlock

Just the other day, SoundCloud Labs released Email Unlock, a simple way to collect email addresses for media. Onesheet is a big supporter of SoundCloud and believes that building your email list is integral for long term success, so we wanted to support this new initiative as soon as we could.

Starting today, you can add your new SoundCloud Email Unlock widget to your Onesheet. All you need is your Email Unlock URL and about 3 seconds. You can find the widget available in your settings bar right now!

Custom Domains are Finally Here!

Last year, we released the basic version of our custom domain product. It enabled users to forward their domain to their Onesheet page and “mask” the URL. The solution wasn’t ideal, but it worked for the past few months.

Today, we are thrilled to officially announce full support for custom domains! The way we had it before, there were a lot of issues, including missing data when sharing to Facebook and not optimizing your page URL for Google search.

The new version we are releasing today solves all of those problems. And it’s free for everyone.

We really encourage you to set your Onesheet up with you own domain either by using it as your website (http:// yourname.com) or adding a subdomain to your website (http:// onesheet.yourname.com). Both of these will do wonders for your Onesheet’s placement on Google.

What a Week! The Grammy Awards and Starting at Onesheet

As I begin this first tumbl, I wanted to introduce myself and touch on a few of my interests, one of which had its most important weekend of the year- The Grammy Awards. I am a music lover (yes, even Country), a technology junkie, and big sports fan- mainly The Saints, all things LSU, The Lakers, and Dodgers. I grew up in New Orleans and then moved to Southern California which explains my sports team affiliations. On a professional note, I just joined Onesheet.com in the last week, overseeing Marketing and Business Development. However, calling it work is a stretch as I get to work with great people and combine two of my favorite things- technology and music- and on top of that, we figure out ways to help bands improve and manage their web presence. While I work WITH a great team at Onesheet, I work FOR my dog, Louie, who’s picture you can find on here with plenty to come. I also manage a great band from San Francisco called The Family Crest, who you can check out here (http://onesheet.com/TheFamilyCrest/#).

This was a roller coaster weekend for myself and all music lovers, with The Grammy Awards and the unfortunate passing of Whitney Houston. The big winner on Sunday night was Adele, who won all six of the categories she was nominated for and all the major awards in her genre. Some other great stories on Sunday night were Skrillex who managed to take home three awards and Bon Iver who took home two awards, one of which was Best New Artist despite irritation from some as he released his first album years ago.

Of course, the night was overshadowed in some ways by the passing of Whitney on Saturday night. While her musical career is second to none and all of her #1’s speak for themselves, she held a special place in my musical heart as she was the first artist I ever saw perform live when I was about five years old living in New Orleans. So in all it was quite a week for me personally and professionally…and for music fans all over the world. I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2012 holds in store for all of us!

Beta Test REAL Custom Domains for you Onesheet

We launched custom domains months ago, but we only offer domain redirecting. We are now working on the next version of using your own domain with Onesheet, and need some beta testers. This will require you to change your A-Record to settings that we give you, but will be a MUCH MUCH better solution.

Musician's Arsenal reversed opinion, says "Onesheet has all the functionality you need to use it as your homepage":

This is a pretty big deal. Before, when Jason from Ariel Publicity reviewed Onesheet, he had a lot of amazing things to say, but unfortunately, he said:

“while I don’t want to give the impression that creating a Onesheet excludes you from needing a website, this is a fantastic option that can take care of your web presence needs while you build a website the right way.”

In his review of the relaunch, he’s changing his mind.

All of these features lead me to rescind my original position. Onesheet has all the functionality you need to use it as your homepage. Of course, building a website provides you with more customization and can include more functionality, but it can also be quite expensive. And once you’ve paid for it you have to have the know-how to perform general upkeep on the site. Onesheet is beyond easy, and getting the pro version is just $4.99/month.

Onesheet has a redesigned user dashboard!

Since Onesheet launched, the user dashboard has been lacking. Yesterday, we fixed that.

The next time you log into Onesheet, you’ll notice a much slicker user homepage that should be much easier to use. Over the next few months, we’ll be adding a lot more tools here that will make your Onesheet even more powerful!

iTunes Comes to Onesheet

Apple is a massive force in the entertainment industry, and mostly because of its digital stores. You can instantly buy music, movies, TV shows, apps, and even books with a single click. In fact, almost every Onesheet creator has content for sale on iTunes.

So it’s about time we brought iTunes to Onesheet.

Starting today, every user has access to embed a widget on their Onesheet that can showcase their content on iTunes / App Store / Bookstore. Setting it up is insanely simple. Just enter the URL for the content you want showcased, and we’ll create the widget. That’s it.

So. Simple.

The Onesheet Team Is Growing

There are a lot of amazing milestones when building a business, but one of my favorite is announcing the addition of amazing team members. Today, I am extremely excited to announce the first additions to the Onesheet team!

These three people are incredible at what they do. They all have 10+ years of excelling in their respective roles at phenomenal companies. It’s an absolute honor to have these guys join the team.

Without further ado, let me introduce you to the new members of Onesheet:

David Andreone
Industry Relations

David comes to Onesheet with nearly two decades of experience, working with some of the biggest artists and managers in the music industry. Most recently, David served as GM of MySpace Records, where he worked in tandem with label partners Interscope and Downtown Records. Prior, David was Vice President of A&R at Columbia Records, and at Warner/Chappell Music Publishing. At Warner/Chappell, David’s artist signings such as Michelle Branch, Disturbed, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Remy Zero, and Hoobastank resulted in worldwide sales in excess of 25 million units. Long an artist’s advocate, David’s strong relationships span the entertainment industry.

Ryan Marshall
Technology

Ryan hails from the “Windy City” of Chicago, bringing with him 14 years of application development and having started two development companies. In Chicago, Ryan worked to help prototype and build thePoint.com that would later become Groupon. He also spent two years at digg.com helping to build out a completely new codebase for a site with 25 million unique monthly users. Ryan was also Co-Founder of Vandelay Labs as lead developer helping quickly prototype and build out all new ideas and applications. While Ryan has had a successful career in development, he also has been playing in bands since he was 13, toured across the country multiple times, and promoted the Bottom Lounge while still in Chicago.

Jim Mulhearn
Marketing & Business Development

Jim brings over 12 years of Marketing experience to Onesheet and will be responsible for Marketing and growing the user base through partnerships. He has a successful track record of driving adoption in various senior roles at start ups and record labels, most recently overseeing Marketing and PR at RootMusic, the #1 Entertainment application on Facebook. Prior to that he helped take SodaHead.com from 30,000 registered users to over 1 million in 10 months from launch and while at Warner Bros Records took TheStreetNetwork.com from 65,000 registered users to over 250,000 in less than one year. In his career Jim has been fortunate enough to work with artists such as Green Day, Madonna, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, My Chemical Romance and several others.

Vimeo Channels now supported!

When we launched, we supported user accounts for YouTube and Vimeo. Then we added support for YouTube Playlists. Today, we’re adding support for Vimeo Channels!

Setting it up is as simple as usual. Just enter the channel URL when you add a Vimeo Videos content module.

Editing your Onesheet just got a whole lot simpler

Some of you might have noticed some changes to how your edit your Onesheets yesterday. When we relaunched our site to include support for multiple widgets, we add two areas where you edited content for your Widgets and Navigation Bar. After talking to a bunch of users, we got feedback that we were overcomplicating things. So yesterday, we released the new Settings Bar.

It’s designed to be a lot simpler.

Onesheet Settings lets you can edit things like your Onesheet name, background, meta data, etc..
Content lets you edit the content that’s already on your page. This includes widgets and navigation bar items. It’s also where you edit the design for those things.
Add Content Modules is where you choose new content to add.
Help is just some tips to get started.

We hope this makes things simpler for you. It’s your feedback that prompted this change, so keep the feedback coming!

Huge server upgrade completed

Today we made the largest infrastructure upgrade in the history of Onesheet. Since the launch last week, we’ve seen unprecidented levels of traffic and usage. That led our site to be pretty sluggish over the past few days.

We’re very very sorry about that. While we’ve been working to keep things online, we realized pretty quickly that a massive upgrade was needed. We worked all weekend and completed the upgrade this morning. While some users weren’t able to log in during the upgrade, your Onesheets stayed live and viewable during the entire process. There was ZERO downtime.

Hopefully this puts us on a better path to a much faster Onesheet experience.

Of course, when any major change is made, there are always unforeseen bugs. If you find anything, please write us immediately at info [at ] onesheet.com and we’ll get it taken care of.
